What Happens to the Hatched Chicks and Ducklings? At the end of the 12 days, U Can Hatch Us collect the baby chicks/ducklings and take them to new homes where they will be properly cared for or reside with us at the farm. Alternatively, given appropriate circumstances and after checking with your local council, you can take them home. Children always ask what happens to the chicks, and it's important for them to know that we care about their futures as well. Are all schools able to benefit from the U Can Hatch Us program?Yes. We can deliver the program to kindergartens and pre-schools right through to secondary schools. Holiday and out of school care programs can also be catered for. Can you supply chicks which have already been born as part of the program?Yes, we also supply two day-old chicks so that the brooder area is lively and interesting right from the start! What is actually delivered as part of the program?
What about the option to see ducklings hatch?Ducklings can be combined as part of the Chick Program and additional equipment is supplied so that the ducklings can have a refreshing paddle! We are often asked about differences between species, and why ducklings have webbed feet? What do we have to provide? All you need to provide is a power outlet and either a large table or two small tables and U Can Hatch Us will supply everything else. Do you have the programme in normal Family Homes?Yes! Absolutely. We will come to your house and setup, supply and collect everything. The brooder area keeps everything contained and with the chick programme there is no maintenance required, except for food and water top up. You and your children can just sit back and enjoy the Chicks. See the Testimonial page for some recent home programme comments.
